Getting Settled (sort of)

Sophia and Hannah are enjoying the new house. We just got finished watching the July 4th fireworks from our backyard. They shoot them off at the park right behind our house. Today we spent the whole day taking apart and then putting together a swing set for Sophia that we got from Craig's list. Sophia is in her glory and has been swinging all night long.
We closed on the house on Monday and our stuff was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. However, the truck ran into an overpass with all our stuff on it and is delayed until next week. (You would think that the truck driver would know how tall the truck is). There is damage to our stuff but we have no idea how much. Thankfully we have insurance and things can be replaced. This has led us to have lots of time to work on the house with nothing in it. The church arranged two days of work crews to help us paint. Sophia got her pink bedroom in the very bright berry pink that she wanted. So she is loving it. With all the help we got the rest of the rooms painted that we wanted to. Since there is no stuff in the house we also got the carpets cleaned and had another crew from the church put on new baseboards on the main floor and knock out part of a wall that dated the house. Still there are more projects to do but right now what I want most is our stuff. Mostly right now I want a baby gate to keep Hannah from climbing up and down the steps. She LOVES to go up. Grandma Jean has been teaching her how to go down as well. So for my peace of mind we got baby gates today and will get them up tomorrow.
Overall, the girls are adjusting. Hannah doesn't really understand what is happening. Sophia does ask from her old friends to come and visit. We wanted to get pictures of up but until the stuff arrives and the computer arrives pictures will have to wait.
