1 Year Old

Hannah turned one year old today. We had a celebration for her with my family on July 4. Sophia and Hannah got a new swing set for both their birthday's from us. They LOVE it. We knew that Sophia would love it but we thought it may take some time for Hannah. Not so. Yesterday Hannah was pointing and pointing at something we could not figure out what and thought she wanted something on the counter top. It took a few minutes but once we had gone through all the items on the counter top and she still was pointing we realized she was looking out the window and pointing to her new swing. She wanted to go swinging. She knows what she wants.
We are not sure of Hannah's height and weight because we need to get her a new doctor. Once we get we will post it on the blog.
Hannah is quite the social butterfly at one. She loves to smile and wave at people. She says bye bye and waves when we leave and even blows kisses. She will go to most people as long as Mama is no where it be seen. She is not walking yet and is standing for very brief periods of time. Right now she gets around so quickly crawling that there is no impetus to walk. It may also have something to do with the fact that there is no furniture in our house to pull up or cruise across so that she can practice. The folding chairs don't work so well for that purpose.
Needless to say there is no chair and no bear so no one year old picture with the chair and the bear. We do have a picture of her at one which we will post once the computer comes. We will work on a chair and bear picture once those arrive as well.
Hannah is quite the eater and just yesterday we heard her put two words together for the first time. Mor ba (More bottle). Whenever she sees food she wants she will call out mor, mor and if we don't get her food fast enough she starts to scream. We are not rewarding the screaming and instead trying to get her to instead say "more please." We will let you know how that works. Now that she has words she needs to use them instead of the screaming.
Hannah loves to keep up with her sister. Just tonight we were at some one's house for dinner who had those battery operated cars that kids can drive. Sophia was trying to learn how to drive them instead of just being a passenger as she has before. I was helping her. After Sophia got tired of it she went to play in the sand box. A few minutes later I looked over and Hannah had crawled over the the car, pulled herself up and was trying to crawl into the car. She is quite the character. She is not a baby any more that is for sure. She's a toddler.
Happy Birthday Hannah!
