Hannah has had quite a day today. Today is the first day that she recognized herself in the mirror. She has looked at pictures on the wall of her and called it "Baby." She knows that she is Hannah. Today she looked in the mirror and said, "Baby Hannah." I encouraged her, "Yes, that is baby Hannah." Then I asked her again, "Who is that?" "Me" was the response.
It is so fun to see these changes every day.
Then the day got even more exciting when we were in the bathroom she said, "Poopy." And started to push. I stopped her and asked if she wanted to sit on the potty. She nodded. So we got out the small potty and put her on it. Sure enough she pooped on the potty. Boy was she proud. We looked at the poop over and over again. She kept saying, "Hannah's" She also was pretty excited because she finally got a "bean." Sophia gets jelly beans for a reward. Hannah has wanted those beans but we just tell her she has to pee or poop in the potty to get a bean. So she was thrilled to have a bean. Now I am not naive enough to think that we will be pooping in the potty on any kind of regular basis. But it was fun to see how proud she was of herself.
