Hannah's 1 and HALF

We managed to get one pictures of Hannah with the bear in the chair. Every other picture she was climbing out of the chair to look at the picture before I ever got it taken.
We had a one and a half birthday party for Hannah at Grandma Betty's house. Grandma Jean brought special cupcakes from the new bakery in her neighborhood and Grandma Betty made heart shaped waffles.

Hannah went to the doctor for her check up and she is 32 inches tall which is in the 60% and 21 pounds 7 ounces which is in the 15%. Sophia and Hannah now are on the same growth curve. 60% height and 10-15% in weight. When went to the doctor he was quite surprised that she was 18 months old. From her verbal skills and physical actions he said she was more like a 2 - 2.5 year old. She is supposed to have at least 18 words. She has hundreds and hundreds of words. It is amazing to see how verbal she is. I think that she maybe more verbal than Sophia was at this age. Hannah is much more oriented toward the outside and large muscles skills. She does not like to sit and draw very long. She loves to get her snowsuit on and go down the slide. She does not want to swing but want to push the swing. This has posed a bit of a problem when she stands behind the swing, pushes it and then it smacks her in the face. So we have been teaching her to push the swing from the side.

Hannah loves to eat and once she says that she is done with her food then she gets out of her high chair and climbs over to her sister's plate and eats all Sophia's food as well.
Hannah is such a well natured kid and just goes along with the flow most of the time. She has started to have definite preferences especially for specific foods and clothes. Her new pick cowboy boots are the only shoes she wants to wear now. She will refuse to eat something if we put it in front of her but when we take it away and she asks for it then she will eat it up.

Oh wow - I see so much of Carter in Hannah's actions. He too just goes with the flow, and I don't think he realizes he's as little as he is --- he thinks he's a big boy!
