"It's Lost"

A week ago Sophia lost her pacifier. She is supposed to leave it on her bed so that she knows where it is when she goes to bed. Lately, she has taken to sneaking upstairs to get her pacifier and blankey and then walking around the house with it. Well, about a week ago she left it somewhere and we could not figure out where. It was a tough night but she managed to fall asleep and stay asleep without it. I decided that it was time to be rid of the pacifier so when mama found it I decided that it would just stay lost for awhile and if we really needed it I could "find it." Sophia has done great. All week she has gone to bed without the pacifier. When she asks for it I just say, "Do you know where it is?" And that is the end of the conversation. She is still asking for it so if you see her don't mention anything about the lost pacifier. It sure is nice to be rid of it. I wasn't sure how we were going to get rid of it. Sophia took care of that for us.
