Sophia is 15 months and still facing backwards in her car seat. The law says she has to be 1 year and 20 pounds before she can face forward. Yesterday we went to the doctor for her 15 month physical and she is 18.5 pounds. She only gained 1/2 pound in the last three months. I think that she actually gained a bit more but since she has been sick this last week she hasn't been eating much. So now she is in the 5% for weight. She was 31.5 inches tall which is the 90% for height. No wonder we have such a hard time finding pants to fit this girl. The funniest part is her head is 18.25 inches which is in the 50% so her head looks big on her tall skinny body. Guess that means she has a good size brain in there.
She is talking all the time now. I can't even begin to count the number of words that she has. It seems like she learns a couple new ones each day. They are not always distinct words to others but we can understand them. This week the ones that come to mind are moon, feet, and bath. She has also started putting words together. "Bye, bye, Daddy." "Mommy outside" I feel like she changes every day. Just amazing to take it all in.
