Sophia is 5

Sophia wanted three things for her birthday - a telescope, a mermaid Barbie, and a trip to the amusement park. She had some tough choices because she had also wanted a rolling backpack for kindergarten. She decided that she would rather had a telescope. She also decided that she did not want a friends party but instead wanted a trip to the amusement park. We were very proud of her for making good choices. We did have a small party with her friends Paul and Luke over on her actual birthday. Sophia had seen a Barbie cake at the grocery store and wanted that kind of cake. I was not about to spend money of a cake from the store but was willing to try and make one. So I got on You Tube and sure enough there were instructions how to make a Barbie cake. Sophia even helped me make it.
