Easter Egg Hunting (Warning do not read this to young children)

We don't really celebrate the Easter Bunny and Santa in our house. However, we do love to hunt Easter eggs. This poses a bit of problem for us because the girls LOVE to hunt eggs. Starting about a week before Easter the games begin. Sophia starts hiding the eggs and then hunts for them. Then she hides them for Hannah to find. Then I have to hide them for both girls to find. We play this game inside and outside. This year Sophia has gotten very creative with the Easter egg hiding. She hid them in her room under the throw rug, in between books in the book case, under the bed, and all kids of odd places. Outside she hides them in trees, in planters, and even was trying to bury one in the rocks. She hides them better than Joel or I do. The challenge is since the Easter bunny does not hide the eggs and instead we do, the hiding goes on and on and on. If the Easter Bunny came then there would only be one hunt. No such luck in our house. Here the two girls are hunting eggs and eating their chocolate bunnies in the mean time.

Beautiful pictures! Our kids had an egg hunt only if we went to my parents on Easter -- no bunny to hide the eggs, just grandparents.
