My parents were watching the kids and apparently had been talking to them about the recent trip they had been on to help start up an organization to help people in China. Sophia became quite concerned about the people in China not having houses and food. She wanted to have them come and live in our house since they did not have a house and we had a house. I explained to her that they lived very far away so they could not live with us but one of the ways that we can help people is to share our money so that they can build houses. Sophia said, "I have money. Let's send it to them. I have money in my piggy bank." When I tried to explain to her it was hard to mail coins and we could send a check the whole thought was lost on her. She wanted to send her money so who was I to stop her. So we got her piggy bank down. Counted out the money we wanted to send (she had to keep some for herself as well), put it in an envelope, and then she wrote, "China People" on the envelope. She put it in the mail box to send (but I had my Dad take it with him so that the money would get to the right place.) Hannah of course had to get in on the action but she wanted to give all her money in her piggy bank. Here they are counting their money for the China People.
