One of the women from church is working on her school psychology masters degree and needed to practice a skills test for kids 2-3 1/2. She asked if she could use Hannah as a subject. We said sure. It would be fun.
I was amazed at what Hannah knows. I know that she talks all the time and that is not usual for 2 year olds but she had an amazing ability to reason as well.
They would ask her - what do you do if you are hungry - eat
What do you do when you are tired? - go to sleep
She could put all the shapes in their correct place.
Knows all her colors (which we already knew). She was supposed to name 5.
Many body parts (she was supposed to name 3).
She even could look at a picture of 4 kids holding various amounts of balloons and they would ask her - Which one is - "She has fewer balloons" - and Hannah would find the girl with the least amount of balloons. I think that this was supposed to test if they could identify gender as well as more and less.
I was impressed. They said she was testing around above the three year old level most of the time.
Hannah has even gotten to talking so much that Sophia will say, "Hannah, stop talking. I want to say something."
