Smart Kid (at least we think so)

I just can't get over how much Hannah is talking these days. She has pretty much continuous commentary on the world around her. When she is not talking about everything she sees she is singing any number of songs she knows. She even picks up songs from Sophia's preschool because Sophia was singing them.
The other day I asked if she needed a new diaper. Her response, "I don't think that I need a new diaper. I just playing." (12 words in a row and 2 sentences and she is not even 2)
When asked how old she is there are two responses "One" with her finger up. Or "Almost two." Who knew that she could know those are both right answers.
She has not mastered spelling Hannah yet. I think the double NN gets her but she has figured out how to spell Sophia.
My favorite sayings of hers right now are "I don't think so." "Actually, ....." OR "Pretty Good." verses "REALLY Good" So fun to watch her learn to distinguish degrees of likes.
She also has learned how to use words to get even with her sister. Before Sophia used to take her toys and give her another toy and Hannah was happy with that. Now she has learned "I had it first." She has even begun to say this even when she has not had it first. She has learned that these are words of power to get what you want.
Even with all the words she has begun to use non-verbals to get her way as well and has begun hitting. So she has started in time out. She knows that when she hits she goes in "Time Out." She even tells us that is where she goes when she hits.

If Mama and Daddy think that they have a smart kid, Mema certainly echoes that observation. 2 weeks in Colorado with nonstop Hannah commentary was the height of all hilarity! The words just tumble out of her...she doesn't even have to stop and think what she wants to say!
