So we had our first parent teacher conference with Sophia's preschool teachers. No big shocker here. Sophia is well behaved and does well in school. So that is good.
So here is the report "Sophia has adjusted to school very well. She seems very happy at school. She is well liked by all her friends. Sophia likes to play at the writing center. She enjoys playing with the doll houses. She likes to read books. She likes to swing outside. Sophia knows all of her colors, great job!" The goals for the year are two classroom goals - "use scissors appropriately and recognize some letters of the alphabet" (she already has that one covered). Then one for Sophia "to make her needs known to her teachers."
I have to say that the Sophia outside the house and the Sophia inside the house are two different people. Outside the house Sophia is still quite shy and does not like to speak up. So it is good that she is in preschool to learn those socialization skills. I think that I had lots of those similar issues as a child as well. Hannah on the other hand does not seem to have any issues with people yet. We will see if she gets more of Joel's extroversion.
