Visit to Colorado

We had a great visit to Colorado seeing family and friends as well as Joel doing some continuing education. It was fun to see Sophia interact with all her relatives now that the is much more verbal. At one point my grandma asked her how long it took for Sophia to learn a new word. I said if she is motivated pretty quick. Little did I know how quick. She had mastered the word "walker" in about 15 minutes because she had so much fun playing with my grandma's walker.

Sophia also had fun seeing her aunts and uncles. She was able to figure out who exactly Auntie Gretchen is. Before she was easily confused when she looked at pictures because my two sisters, Gretchen and Brita look so similar. Sophia got to see Brita at Christmas and had lots of fun with her so every time she saw a picture of Gretchen she thought it was Brita. Now she has figured out the difference between the two. Here they are looking "cool" with their sunglasses on.

She also got to play with Uncle Soren at the Botanic Gardens. Here they are "digging" together. Sophia LOVES to dig whereever she can.

Last but not least here is Sophia celebrating her Grandma Jean's retirement from school nursing. Now Grandma Jean can come and visit ANYTIME she wants and stay as LONG as she wants.
