Last night Sophia, Mom, and Dad were making a Christmas ornament with Sophia's name on it. As Daddy was writing Sophia's name, Mommy started spelling it out loud.
"S" Mommy said; to which Sophia replied "O".
Mommy and Daddy looked at each other with surprise. Just as Daddy started to reason that "O" is a common sound for Sophia, Sophia said, "P." At that point, we realized this was more than coincidence. Encouraging Sophia, we asked what was next. "H" she said. Then, "I." Then "A."
Is this normal for a 17-month old to know how to spell her name?

Wow, that is great! An advanced learner you have for sure.
Wow! Mine just starting using his name to refer to himself. Forget spelling!
