Yesterday we took Sophia to the beach for the first time. She wasn't quite sure about the whole beach experience. She loved when we held her and stood at the edge of the water. She loved watching the waves come in and get our feet wet, just not her feet wet. The water was very cold still. Maybe she will like it better in August. She also had NO interest in getting any sand on her. She would cry when we tried to put her feet in the sand. Instead sitting on the towel was much better. Here is a picture of her, as you can tell from her expression she doesn't quite know what to do with whole experience.
