What You Don't Want Your Kids To Learn

So far in Sophia's development we have been proud to report her many learnings and accomplishments. This week I have to say will probably be the first of many learnings that a parent is not always so proud of. This last week Sophia figured out that her pointer finger is the perfect size to fit in her nostril. She now loves to stick her finger in her nose. I don't think that she has quite figured out how to "pick" her nose yet. She just thinks it great to put her finger in her nose and wiggle it around. We are trying to deter this behavior in public but so far we have not be successful. The problem is that it makes me laugh to see her doing it, but I can't let her see that or it will encourage her so I turn away and smile.

Just wait until it is even more fun for her to put her finger up your nose!!! mwah, ha, ha.

I can speak to this from my own frequent experience. My little one also thinks it is funny to put his finger in my nose and then pull sidewise. He laughs manically while I scream with pain.
