Visiting Wisconsin

Sophia had a few days off in October so we decided to take a few more days off and head out to Wisconsin to see some of my family and our friends from Princeton.
First, we went to see my Uncle Dick and Aunt Karin. The girls LOVE Uncle Dick. We got there and he wanted to show us around the Amish country. So we drove around and got candy and fresh cheese curds. The only problem was that somehow Uncle Dick had made the off hand comment that he wanted to clean the fish pond in the backyard sometime. While we were driving around Sophia said, "When are we going to go home. I want to clean the fish pond." So we went home and let the kids clean out the fish pond. The loved catching the fish with the net. Dick thought it was great to have us come because we are entertained by doing work around his house. Here are the kids catching fish with Joel.

We then went to visit our friends, Jacob and Anna, who are one set of Hannah's godparents. They have two boys that are almost the same age as our girls. When the four of them get together they have a great time! They enjoyed just playing around the house together, playing games and reading.

They really enjoyed the corn maze.

We also had a great time hiking together.

While we were there a barrel where they were burning trash caught fire at the camp where Jacob is a program director. The kids got quite excited to see a real fire and real fire trucks.

We had a great time seeing our family and friends and can't wait to see everyone again.
