Busy Visiting Family- Part 1

So we have been a bit negligent with the blog the last month. Sophia has been busy visiting her family. The first famil visit was that Sophia and I made a surprise quick trip to Colorado for Grandma Jean and Grandpa Duane's retirement party. All their children and grandchildren (well Sophia + baby to come) were there. The only one missing was Joel, the son-in-law. Sophia had a good trip and I think finally figured out the difference between her Auntie Brita and her Auntie Gretchen. Here are some pictures of our time in Colorado.

Of course playing with Sadie, the dog, is the most fun of all. Before we left for Colorado I would ask Sophia who we were going to see and her first response was always "SADIE!"

(Just a little side note that this really was a trip made out of love because I was flying 7 months pregnant and had Sophia alone on the plane. The plane ride on the way to Colorado this proved to be quite an experience. Sophia got to sit in her own seat on the plane and not in Mama's lap as she was supposed to. Mama was very thankful for this because within the first 10 minutes of the flight she had peed all the way through her diaper and onto her clothes. We changed her outfit and thought all was well until about 2 hours later when she got quite worked up and mad. So I was holding her and trying to get her to calm down and she threw up all over the both of us. So I was left with no more clean clothes for the both of us. We got cleaned up as best we could and made it Colorado but I will glad that the next time I fly Joel will be with us. )
